Some Advice to Parents Of the four cases. reported to the health authorities in this district three have now been diagnosed as positive and the fourth case is a suspect. All four cases are of children not yet of school age, two being just five years of age, one four years of age and one of two and a-half years. During the week-end Dr. ChampaLeaup, Medical Officer of the Department of Health, was in Hastings carrying out an investigation and inspection, and he is now visiting other parts of the district. The Borough Health Inspector, Mr. 0. E. Carrell, when reporting on the four cases to a Herald-Tribune representative, said this morning that it was generally experienced that the outbreaks of infantile paralysis diminisb with the approach of cold weather. Parents were advised to allow their children to have plenty of exercise in the fresh air, but to make certain that they have adequate headcovering. The children should also be encouraged to gargle to avoid infection through the nose and throat.
