Williamson Ltd., is in Hastings completing arrangements for the appearanee, on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 23 and 24, of the Monte Carlo Russian Ballet. Mr A. Morrath, chief clerk of the money order and savings bank department of the Napier Post Offiee, has received notice of his transfer to tbe Stratford Post Offiee as supervisor of the postal branch. He is to leave Napier within the next two weeks. Mr G. A. Maddison, Mayor of Hastings, returned home during the weekend after attending the Municipal Oonference at Timaru. He was accompanied by th© Town Clerk, Mr Noel O. Harding, who was elected a vicepresident of the Town Clerks' Institute at the annual oonference lield in conjunction with the Municipal Oonference.
