PRINCESS ELIZABETH'S PART IN CORONATION PAGEANT
Princess Elizabetli will prob'ably take part in tlie ltoyal Procession in tbe eoronation, Princess Margaret, on account of lier age, is expeeted only to "attend'5 tbe cere^nony. princess Ehzabetb, who will then be 11 years old, may lead tbe procession of Prinees and Princesses o.f the Blood Royal. Slie will probably wear a coronet, which she will place on hor liead when Queen Elizabeth is crowned. If the Princess appears iu the procession she will also wear a robe of lier rank and be attended by members of the Royal Household. She wiil do homage by placing her coronet on her liead when the Queen is crowned — the homage performed by members cf the femmine sex. Althougb lieir-presump-tive she will not do homage with tlie peers, one reason being that she is a minor. The Kiiig and Queen and probably Princess Elizabeth will be central figures in the niost notable dress rehearsals of the year — that for the Abbey pageant. All those taking part will attend. at the Abbey in their robes - after ihe Abbey decorations are eompleted, and only a few dayg before the actual ceremony. They will go tbrough the whole of the elaborate ritual of the variotis processions and the actual ceremonies. The dress rehearsal will follow a series of ''sectional" rehearsals for groups of people engaged on different ditties OT appearing in different processions.
