Whakatu had little difficulty in disposing of Fruitgrowers at Havelock. Going in first Whakatu rattled up the good total of 197 (Christenson 111, Mitchel 17, R. Love '34 and J. Laurie 23). Bowling for Fruitgrowers, S. Geake took two for 29, R. Keping five for 80, C. Tayl°r on© f°r 26 ajid R. Galbraith one for 16. Fruitgrowers were dismissed for the small total of 58, the double-figure scorerg being T. Heenan (27) and R. Galbraith (16). McGregor took six for 20, J. Goodall one for 35 and Christensou two for 2, being responsible for the wickets Havelock North v. Higli Sehool. — Batting first, the Villagers made 205 for nine wickets declared (Stevenson 84, W. Whitehead 29, Liley 225, R. Whitehead 19, Clark 15, Bligh 10 not out; Hill three for 47). Sehool in teply made 90 (Pankhurst 34, Hyland 13, MeDowell 10). Havelock won on the first innings by 105 runs.
