Home trade were principal operators with gnod support from the Continent, Russia included. As compared with closixig rates of last series greasy Merino, good to super, ld to lid higher; greasy Meriuo, other descriptions, §d to ld higher; scoured Merino, par to ld higher; greasy half-breds, scoured' half-breds and greasy crossbred fine, unchanged; greasy crossbred, medium aud coarse, par to id higher; scoured crossbred, |d to ld higher; slipe and greasy lambs, par to ld higher. The following is the range of prices: — Merino, good to feuper 20|d to 22d, low to medium 17d to 184d. Half-bred 56/58, good to super 181d to 21d, low to raedium I5id to 16d. Half-bred, 50/56, good to super 17d to 18M, low to raedium, 15 to lG^d. Fiue crossbred, 48/50, good to super 16d to 17d, low to raedium 14Jd to 15*d. Fine crossbred, 44/46, good to super -4d to 17d, low to medium, 14 Jd to 15^d. Crossbred, 44/46, good to super l§d to l7Jd, low to medium 14d to 15 Jd. Crossbred, 40/44, good to super 154d to 17d, low to medium 13fd to 15d. Coarse crossbred, 36/40, good to super 15£d to 164d, med. to good I3|d to 14|d. Murray, Roberts and Co. Ltd. — Saies have closed with a good toue. Competition keen and general. Compared with last London saies closing rates are: Greasy Merino, advanced 5 per cent.; scoured Merino, market firm; crossbred greasy, par to 5 per ceut. advance; coarsest descriptions slxow greatest advance; crossbred scoured, advanced 5 per cent; slipe crossbred, advanced 5 per cent. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd. — The saies closed firmV to-day. There is good all-round competition. As compared with last saies closing rates, prices are higher |d to ld per lb. for scoured Merino, medium greasy crossbred, coarse greasy crossbred, crossbred slipe and scoured crossbred; higher, par to §d per lb., for Merino lambs; higher ld per lb. for greasy Merino, higher ld to Tjd per lb. for crossbred lambs. Williams and Kettle Limited. — The second series of London saies closed yesterday, ihe 12th. instant. The market is very active with a strengtherxing tendency and buying well distributed.
