The weather was fine and the wicket good. Bradman won the toss. South Australia batted and in the first ixxnings made 182 — Whittingjton 30. Bradman 31, Hamenoe 35. Fleetwood-Smith took six for 66, McCormick three for 56. Victoria, in its first strike, has lost two for 97— Rigg 33, Lee (not out) 42.
