WHY APRICOTS DIE BACK
All who have had experiencO with ' this fruit have no doubt been troubled with the mysterious malady that causes whole branches- suddenly to wilt and dio. The real cause of the trouble ie not always plain, though it may be frequently observed that where the trees were root pruned in their £arly days and coarse rank growth preventea, the trauble seldom appears. Lack of lime, too free use of the knife, sour soil or an undrained border are all contributory causes, without doubt, and these points Should be attended to without delay if the tree is at all unbealthy.
