Assurance Wanted Regardiug Economic Problems WASHINGTON, March 11. Mr Cordell Hull has announced that he expected to discuss with President Quezon the latter's desire for the early and complete independence of the Philippines and indicated there would be little Government objection to such action if there was sufficient assurance that the economic problems involved could be settled. Senator Tydings, eo-author of the Act which freeB the Philippines by 1945, said a reeiprocal trade agreement couid be drawn immediately to remove thc objections.
