(Eeceived 10, 8.45 a.m.) SAN FRANCISCO, March 9^ A series of earthquakes pver ai period of four hours broke windows, toppled chimneys, imahelfed merchandise in store? in the Easfc Bay cities of Oakland, Rerkqley, Alameda and Albany. No one was injured. A hurried speetion of the two huge bridges in the Bay revealed no damage. It is estimatpd the quakes were half as strong and as devastating as. |n 1906, A slight 'quake 24 hours later was felt in Ohio, Kentncky, Indiana, Michigan, West Virginia, Hlinoia, Wisconsin and Ontario.
