Explorer Fails to Win , Damages (Eeceived 10, 11.15 a.m.) COPENHAGEN, March 9. ] Complaining of their criticism in the Danish Geological Association 's jonrnal] of a book he wrote 071 the geology of Greenland, Dr. Lauge Koch, the wellknown Danish explorer and geologist, sued nine prominent Danish and two German seientists foi* alleged libel, claiming that they should be fined and ordered to pay compensation of 2000 lcroner and the criticism • annulled. The High Court, however, found the defendants not guilty and ordered Dr. Koch to pay 350' kroner costs. D*r. Koch complained tliat the criticism refleeted on his honour, because they alleged that he had misappropriated to himself the results of scientific . work. done by other explorers.
