W.D.F.U. MEETS

The March meeting of the Sherenden branch of the Women's Livision of the Farmcis' Union was held at the home of Mrs Sheild, "Waikonini," and was one of the most enjoyable of the year. Mrs Haroid Beamish presided. After the business programme, which was rather lengthy, had been disposed of, letters of thanks for donations were read from S-t. Mary's Home, and the Children's Health Camp- A letter was also read from the ' Institute for the Blind, thanbing the branch for its splendid efi'ort in the sale of basketware. Uuring the afternoon Aliss Gwen Sheild cntertained with musical items. A committee meeting is to be held at Mrs Boyd'-s home, Sherenden, on April 1, and the annual meeting is to be in the Sherenden Hall on April 8. The hostesses for the afternoon were Mn Hildreth. Misses M. Matthews, H Sheild and J- Lowe.
