The sboitest radio waves over produeed by a vacuurn tuhe havo a -vavo longtl of a trfle less tnar a quarte' of an ineh. They have been produced from extromely small tnbes by G. E. Cleeton and N. H. Williams at tho university of Michigan. They used a split cylindrical plate one twenty-fiftli of an inch in diameter for an unodo, and operated it at a pressuro of 1200 volts. These waves are so short that they are near the heat band in the infra red light spectrum. They act like op_ tical waves. They are collected by a mirror 50 feet from the tube, aud brought to a focus} where they wmre deteeted by a crystal detcctor. Experience in every branch of radio work dating back to 1920, together with the most modern and comprehensive collection of testing apparatus in the district, is at your disposal when you require radio1 service by ringing J. A. Lynn, cr. Lyndon and Southland Roads, 'Phone 4073, Hastings. »
