MUNICIPAL THEATRE

MUSICAL AND MYSTERY. Paramount 's newest mirth-quake, "Thank Your Stars," screens at the Municipal Theatre, Hastings, to-night, with a gala comedy cast headed by Jack Oalde, Arline Judge, Alison Skipworth, Roscoe Karns, and music by Ben Bernie and his orchestra, who make their debut in this picture. Few recent screen comedies have excelled this lively, pace-setting for speed, action and fun. With a medley of six brand new tune hits, the plot revolves about the point and individual efforts of a group of colorful show people in search of fame and fortune. Although Oakie furnishes most of the comic interludes in his own, peeuliarly ingratiating style, there are guffawsw aplenty in Ben Bernie 's feud with "famous columnist," as played by William Frawloy and several highly diverting scenes in which Arline Judge, the flagpole sitter's two-timing swewetie is featured. Charles "Chic" Sale, noted comedian and humorist, featured in Zane Grey 'a "Rocky Mountain Mystery," is also at the Municipal Theatre. He plays the role of a comedy deputy sheriff who literally stumbles into the solution of the radium mine murders. Randolph Scott, Mrs. Leslie Carter, Kathleen Burke and Ann Sheridan are featured in the cast of this picture. Charles Barton directed.
