Urewera Timber-Workers Will "Stay-in" UNUSUAL FEATURES

ROTORUA, This Day. A reversal of the usual course of ovents in industrial disputes has arisen in the Urewera country, where 62 employees of Wilson Timber Mills, Ltd., deeided by ballot to adopt stay-in strike tactics as a protest against the alleged victimisation of the mill managef by the company. It is stated that the cnanager dismissed one of the workers, but was ordered by the company to reinstate him. The men met and deeided to demand the reinstatement of the cnanager, but when this was refused they deeided to eommenee a stay-in strike. They claim that the Maoris in the surrounding distriet are in sympathy with their attitude and have offered to find them supplies if they are required.
