MUNICIPAL THEATRE
MTJSICAL AND MYSTERY. Paramount 's hewest mirth-quake, "Thank Yoar Stars," opens at the Municipal Theatre, Hastings, to-night, with a gala comedy cast headed by Jack Oakie, Arline Judge, Alison Skipworth, Boscoe Karns, and music by Ben Bernie and his orchestra, who make their debut in this picture. Few reeent screen eomedies have exeelled this Bvely, pace-setting for speed, aetion. and fun. With a medley of six brand new tune hits, the plot xevolves about the point and individsual efiorts of a ■ group of colorful show people in search of fanie and fortune. Although Oakie furnishes ,most of the coinic interludes in his own, peculiarly ingratiating style, there are guifawsw aplenty in Ben Bernie 's feud with "famous columas played by William Prawloy and several highly diverting scenes in which Arline Judge, the flagpole sitter's two-timing swewetie is featured. Charles "Chie" Sale, noted comedian and humorist, featured in Zane Grey's "Boeky Mountain Mystery," is also at the Municipal Thentre. He plays the role of a comedy deputy sheriff who literaJly stumbles into the solution of the raflium. mine murders. Bandolph Scott, Mrs. Leslie Carter, Kathleen Burke and Ann Sheridan are featured in ihe cast of this picture. Charles Barton directedj a A 4.
