GUILD MEMBERS VIEW HAVELOCK GARDENS OF MR & MRS G. HUSHEER
The members of the garden oircle of the Hastings Townswomen's Guild spent a very happy afternoon yesterday when, at the invitation' of Mr and Mrs Gerhard Husheer, a visit was paid to their home in Duart road, Havelock North. Mr and Mrs H. Hay acted as host and hostess and showed their guests rotimd the lovely gardens ail kept with such perfedt order and having a spiendid display of blooms. Beds of feally wonderful begonias in all shades and feizes were the centre of everyone's admiration and the masses of phlox, zinnias, dahliaB and delphiniums? were looked upon with envy by all preseoat.After strolling throughoiit the gardens afternoon tea was greatly appreciated and later when Mrs A. F. Glenny.' president df the Hastings Townswomen's Guild prcposed a vote of thanks to Mr and Mrs Gerhard Husheer this was carried with acclamation. Mr and Mrs Hay were also thaiikfed'for their kindness in showing the gllest-s rotlnd the garden and making the afternoon such a very pleasant one.
