The bride is the twin daughter of Mr and Mrs G. L. Darveli, Inglewood^ Taranaki, and formerly of Hastings, and 'the bridegroom the twin soa of Mr and 'Mrs W. G. Morton, Wai Whiro, Takapau. Lovely bowls of slladed pink dablias with delicate greenery were arranged in the chureh, and on the choir rails' W6re sflaaller bowls of pink carnatxons and maideiihair fern.

' Miss Napier presxded at tbe organ and played the wedding marches and the mtisic for the two hymns, "The Voide That Breathed O'er Fden," alid "0 Perfect Love." Bieh satin royalp in a deep ivory shade fashioned the bride's wedditig gowfi# which had a gracefully fitting skirt flared into a long train and jolned to the hodlce in front with a dotlble point. The corsage was ctlt with a high neckling edged with a wide fold of material twisted in front and the two ends hanging down the back being caught with a double circular. clasp of brilliants. A brilliant olasp finished the belt which was arranged from each side of the waist to fche -back and the long sleeves were bell-ahaped at the wrist. She wore satin shoes and her beautifully embroidered tulle veii was arranged with a tiny orange-blossom halo backed with a narrow pleated tulle frill. She carried a sheaf in shades of white and palest pink composed of "asters and rosebuds with maidenhair fern and having white and silver streamers. The two maids were Miss Gwendoline Darveli, the bride's twin Sister, cliief, and Miss Jean Darveli, also a sister of the bride. Their gowns of pink lace mounted on heavy satin in the same shade Were cut exactly alike, The skirts were slightly trained and the short puffed sleeves were mounted on organdie. The sleeves and each side of the square neckline were edged with an inch-wide band of shirred velvet cyclamen pink. A sash of the same velvet encircled the waist and was looped at the back with long ends to the hem of the skirt, lions pink gloves and cyclamen velvet shoes were worn and On the corsage a posy of cyclamen and pink flowers and_ fern. A halo of tiny velvet fioWerg m the same two shades was Worn -by each maid and a bouquet of asters in two shades of pink, pink rosebuds, maidenhair and asparagus fern, with pink streamers, was carried. These bouquets and the bride's sheaf were beautifully made by Mrs T.. Pickett. Mr Alan Wilson (Hatuma) carried out the ditties of best man and Mr Maxwell Carberry was the groomsman. Mr G. L. Darveli gave his daughter tiway. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Hawke's Bay Farmers' tearooms, wher© a very happy time was spent by everyone. Th© wedding break-

fast was a buffet one and the tables were decorated with floating bowls of pink and blue flowers, rosebuds, asters and zinnias with maidenhair fern. In the spacious club lounge were taller vases of blue delphiniums, pink belladonna lilies, gladioli and hydrangeas. Ihe guests were received by Mr and Mrs G. L. Darveli, parents of the bride, and Mr and Mrs W. G. Morton, the bridegroom's parents. Mrs J)arvell wore a gown of black triple ninon trimmed with palest pink. The long sleeves had a scalloped cowl effect at the shoulders lined with pink and the draped cowl, . neckline was lined to match and caught at each shoulder with a pink button. Pink buttons also finished the wide belt at the back. She wore a black ballibuntal picture hat with two pale pink velvet flowers aCress the crowii. She carried a posy of pink rosebuds and maidenhair fern. Mrs Morton wore a modei frock of black cloque with touches of white at the revered neckline and also at the wrists. Her black hat was trimmed with white and she carried a posy in red shades composed of daxnty polyanthus, roses and fern.

The bride was married from the home of old friends of her parents, Mr and Mrs J. B. Pickering, Knight street, Hastings. At the wedding Mrs Pickering wore a gown of deepest blue georgette with sleeves of lace in the same shade and a lace yoke slightly shirred in front and caught with a long clasp of brilliants. With this she wore-a navy peaeh bloom hat. When the bride and bridegroom left for their honeymoon, a motor tour as far north as the Bay of Islands, the bride travelled in a very smart suit of Westmoorland tweed in a brown and fawn mixture. The coat had a wide brown belt and she wore a brown fine wool jumper, brown velour liat with fawn and brown quill through the crown and crocodile shoes and handbag. Many very beautiful presents were received by Mr and Mrs B, 0. Morton, who will live at "Wai Whiro", Takapau, and among these was an oak dinner waggon, and set of crystal goblets and water jug from the staff and firm of Messrs McCulloch, Butler and Spence, the bride having been a member of the staff.
