ATKINS ABSOLVED

Riding in Greenmeadows Handicap Following ihe running of the Green meadpws Handicap, the principai event of the day at the Napier Park races on Saturday, an inquiry was opened into an alleged interference to Black Fox by King 's Lancer, ridden by Percy Atkins, a well-known jockey, of Hastings. The evidence of several witnesses was heard and the proceedinge - we're completed to-night. After con3ideration of the evidence, the judicial committce returned the following finding: — ''The committee considers that, after hearing the evidence of all the riders in the race, the trainer of Black Fox, -the owner of King '3 Lancer, Mr. J. -Miller, and Mr. B. N. Sandilands, stipendiary steward, interference, negligent or incompetent riding was not proved against Atkins."
