EAST COAST CHARMS

Attractive Travel Booklet Issued "Eastward Ho" is the title given to a useful booklet setting fortli the attractions of tlie East Coast for tourists. In story and picture a route is laid from Rotorua through the Bay of Plenty towns to Gisborne thence to Wairoa, Napier and Hastings. The return route is laid over the Taupo road. Alternative routes via East Cape and Waikaremoana are also mapped, illustrated and described. The. story of the trip is brightly written and the illustrations vividly express the beauty of the varied scenery. of tlie East Coast area. The publication is a co-operative. production havirig been arranged and financed by the Chambers of Commerce of Rotorua, Opotiki, Gisborne, Wairoa, Napiei- and Hastings. A certain amount of advertising has been included, but is unobtrusive and does not detract in the slightest from the attractiveness of the booklet. Those respopsible for the publication may justifiably claim to liave succeeded in a new avenue of co-operative endeavour for advertising regional travel and tourist attractions. The booklet ivas prepared and printed by the Roto- , rua MoTning Post and will be made available in hotels, at travel. agencies, and on passenger ships at the . principal travel eentres of Ameriea and eastem countrieS.
