H.B. Flyer Second For Bledisloe Trophy 32 FLANES TAKE PART

WANGANUI, Last Night. Outstanding success was achieved at tio official North Island air pageant, which. Was held a l the aiTport 011 Saturday afternoon under the auspices of tio Wanganui Aero Club. Brilliant sunshine prevailed and there was a large attendance of the public, which was provided with thrillB in plenty. The points prize was won by the Middle Districts representatives, who registered nine points, Wellington and Wairarapa being next with five points oach, Mr lan Keith (Western Feder ated Clubs) put up a good performance in the contest for the Gloucester Trophy, which he xetained. Outstanding displaya were given by the Boyal New Zealand Air Force, who excelled in formation, flying, and by the entrants In the aerobatie events. Thirty-two machines from all parts of the Dominion paxticipated in the pageant, including many different types and makes. Following are resulfas: — Bledisloe Trophy: G. C. Maxtin (Wellington Aero Club), 258 points, 1; A. W. Britton (Hawke 's Bay and East Coast Club), 218 points, 2; M. H. _McKenzie (Miudle Districts), 180 points, 8. Zero hour eompetition: E. . J. Johnston (West Coast, S.I.), 3. Senior landing: C. Plumtree (Western Federated), 1; L. McGaffin (Middle Districts), 2; A, W. Buchanan (Wairarapa), 3. Women's trophy: Mrs J. Glenn (Western Federated), 1; Mrs J. M. Poulton (Canterbury), 2; Miss J. Winfcton (Western Federated), 3. Professional landing: A. E. Willis (Marlborough), 1; P. J. Killain (New Zealand AiWays), 2; K. Johnston (Wairarapa), 3. Herald Trophy: C. Linn (Western Federated), 89 points, 1; Mrs J. Poulton (Canterbury), 84 points, 2; B. L.
