Sixteen College Boys on World Cruise NQW AT PITCAIRN ISLAND (Reeeived 8, 8.45 a.m.) BALBOA, March 6. A letter has just been reeeived from the Chief Magjistrate, Mr Richard Christian, a deseendant of Fletcher Christianj leader of the Bounty mutineers. in which it is stated that the American schooner yacht Yankee arrived at Pitcairn Island early in February with all aboard, except one} poisoned by fish and neariy helpless. The Yankee sailed from Gloucester (Massachusetts) on a world cruise inanned by 16 college boys and commanded by Irving Johnson, whose wife and another woman are also aboard. The Pitcairn Islanders were compelled to carry the men ashore. They had eaten fish which they had caught. While waiting for the men to recuperate the Yankee is being used by the Pitcairn Islanders to carry wood from Henderson Island. All have recovered and she is sailing for New Zealand on March 14.
