EXCHANGE PROBLEM

Four Experts in Control - (Reeeived 8, 8.45 a.m.)) LONDON, March 6. The Paris correspondent of The Iimes says that four banking experts will control the exchange nnder the leadership of Jl. Charles Rist, honorary direetor of the Bank of France. Their appointment is generally approved, yet paradoxically the appointment stimulated saies of French curreney as the views of M. Rist and two colleagues suggest that the franc will shortly be allowed to flnd a level near a lower limit, equivalent to 113 to tbe pound set by the devaluation law. The Government by appointing the committee changed its monetary poliey without changing its Finance MinisteT and simultaneously transferred a delicate task from a harassed politician to detached technicians.
