WOMAN'S DEATH

Became III in Pichires TARADALE RESIDENT A married woman, Mrs. Jessie Cecilia May J effares, of Taradale, died early on Sunday morniiig in the Napier Public Hospital shortly after her admission. Mrs. Jeffares had been at the pietures in Napier on Saturday evening when she became ill, and half-way through the programme decided to go home. Her husband remained until the conclusion of the programme and then went home. He found that the table was laid for supper, but when he went to his wife's room he found her lying on the floor with a bottle that had contained a poison beside her. A doctor was summoned, and after treatment she wUs removed to the Napier Public Hospital, but died shortly after admission. An inquest will probably be opened this afternoon.
