TIKOKINO SPORTS

The Eadter- Saturday Sports meeting of the Tikokino Sports Club has undergone an alteration in the programme, the greyhound racing events havilig been replaced by dog trials. These trials will commence at 8 a.m. sharp, the class being open short head and yard, for which four substantial prizes are oflered ior the first four placiugs. The sports programmC will start at 11 a.m. on the clilb'.s grounda in Matthews' Memorial Park and for the convenience of competitors and patrons a conveyanee will leave Waipawa on the arrival of the Napier mail train. A lengthy programme of athletie, cyeling, axemen's and horse events has been drawn up by the executive of the club and already large entries have been received for the various classes. Highland dancing and a boXing competition have been included in the pro gramme, so patrons are a-'sured of nn enjoyable day's outing undcr picnic conditions.
