WELLINGTON, Last Night. After the shoot-off to determine first place in the flnal of the service Chanlpiouship the service title Was won bj W. N. Harefield (Blenheim) at the national rifie meeting at Trentham yeSterday. Masefield aad J. B. Kearney (Nhpier)j 1930 service champion, tied in the championship each with a score o£ 261 out of the possible 300. In the Subsequent shoot-off, comprising one ftoifipulsory sighter and five roundS application, Masefield made 21 and Kearney 16. Although Masefield has won the Kifig's Prize three times, this is the first occfcsion he has become holder of the Ross Carbine and champion belt awarded to the Winner of the service championship.
