ALL-SEASONS FROCKING AT NAPIER PARK RACES
A perfect summer day favoured the Napier Park Racing Glub on S'aturday for the Becond day of the autumn meeting. Th© attendance was a record one and included a large number of strangers who probably came with the excursion. Frocking was rather mixed, attire for all the seasons being noted. Navy Blue was the most popuiar colour and in the majority of cases was relieved with or allied to white. Larg© shady hats teontrasted with smali toques. Many ladies lightened a dark suit with a bright hat or eCarf. Among those on the lawn. were:— Mrs Cecil Louisson, wife of the president, wearing a biack crepe-de-chine frock figured in red and yellow under a black 6ilk georgette coat; her black hat was hnished with an ostrich mount. Mrs J. E. Gleadow, wife of the seeretary, wore a tailored costume in mixture tweed, blouse of white georgette and angpra felt hat with orange feather trimMrs F- W. Browne. model suit in pale salmon pink pique worn with a pink shady hat and blue accessories. Mrs W. Rowan, navy pia striped tailored costume worn with smart hat to tone. Mrs Clark ((Wellington) navy silk crepe ensemble with hat to tone. Mrs Y. Williams, American model suit in navy embossed georgette relieved- with spray in red, white and blue, smart navy tagel hat. _ Mrs S. Twigg, costume in black cloth, black felt hat and fox fur. Mrs Eric Williams, attractive green floral frock worn with navy hat. Mrs A*. H. D. Mayne, pale blue and white spotted frock, hat of natural Bangkok. Mrs M. Brodie, pink ensemble with shady hat to tone fmished with brown kowers. Mrs A- D. Morris. navy georgette model frock with toque to match. Mrs P. Holden, dainty striped frook of white ci'inkle organdie worn with white shady hat. Mrs 1J. .Sweetapple, smart frock in red, black and white silk crepe worn with black marocain, three-quarter coat and black hat with white relief. Mrs P. Wall, black silk crepe frock flowered in white woi'n with a shady hat to tone. Mrs G. Kelly, navy costume, the matching hat underlined with beige. Mrs Mackie (Wellington), smart suit in elerical grey worsted figured in white and having red s«uede belt, attractive black beret and fox fur. Mrs N. Solomon, navy • ensemble with pale blue georgette blouse and navy hat. Mrs W. D. FitzGerald. cocoa-brown cloth frock, smartly finished with cire braid, cloth toque, with veiling to trimMrs A. Hyde, navy ensemble with shady hat. Mrs G. B. Amyes, navy costume with oriental crepe bloufl* and navy straw hat. Mrs T. A, Moodie, tailored coat blouse of black taffetas figured in white over her black wool georgette frock, black hat, Mrs A. O. Biggis, beech-brown tailored costume with velour hat to tone. Mrs G. Silson (Sydney, navy and •white floral silk ensemble with na,vy and white straw hat. • Mrs L. Stone (Auckland), smart suit in new rust tone worn with brown felt hat. Mrs G- F. Gardiner. black and white spotted /rock with becoming black close-fitting felt hat. . Mrs L. S. McClurg, brown and white figured ensemble with hat )fco tone. Mrs A. Syme, black silk crepe ensemble and shady, both having white relief. Mrs G. Dunsford, black ribbed cloth costume, spotted scarf and smart black hat. Mrs C. Rathbone, shaded blue floral frock with navy georgette coat and shady hat. Mrs P. Oliver, grey-blue tailored costume, navy hat and white relief. Mrs L. A.
