Free Milk Distribution From Our Own Correspondent. WAIPUKURAU, This Day. Mr H. M. Christie, M.P., met the members of the Waipukurau District High School Committee last night to discuss provision of school equipment and other matters concerned with the school. Mr Christie said that the committee could b© asured that he would do his best to obtain extra neoessary equipment for the secondary department. The question of milk in schools was discussed and fche committee decided that a meeting with borough representatives be held in the primary school on Wednesday. Mai'ch 10 at 7.30 p.m? Mr H. M. Christie agreed to present the attendanc© certificates to the children on Wednesday March 10 at 2 p-m-Tho resignation of Mr L. R, Cutforth, first assistant of the secondary department, was received with regret, Mr Cutforth has accepted a position at the Tauranga School under tho Auckland Education Board and Is ex pected to leave at Easter. A vote of condolenc© with Mr and Mrs Bendeich in the recent death of their son Kenneth, who was a p-upil at the Primary /Department at the time, was carried, members standing in silence. The headmaster, Mr A. V. Parsons, reported that owing to tho i umber of positions available at the present time, the attendance at th© socondary , school had decreased. There were 63 pupils at the secondary department at the present time, including 25 new members. mostly from pupils in Standard VI. at the primary school lasb year. The number of new pupils at the primary department totalled 33
