REMINDERS
The District Engineer, Public Works Department, Napier, invites tenders .up to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Mareh 17, for repairs and renovations to the Ongaonga sub-station buildings. Speeifications may be seen at the Public Works Office, Napier, aud Post Office, Waipukurau. The Barrie Studio will reopen on Saturday, Mareh 13. Misses Grantham and Patston will be in attendanee at the studio to interview parents and pupils from 10.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.mi from Monday, Mareh 8, to Friday, Mareh 12. The Railway Department announces the running of auother excursion to Napier and back on Sunday, Mareh 14. The excursion is from the Wairarapa district and already indications point to very heavy bookingis. The excursion train is timed to arrive at Napier at 12.32 p.m* and leaves on return at 5.35 p.m. The fares are at a vei'y cheap rate. Details are advertised in this xssue. ;
After a lifetime of medical mission work in the Soldmon Islands, Dr. Northcote Deck is now a speaker and writer much in demand at conventions and similar gatherings, especially ir England, where his oonnection with fche famous Keswick Convention is well known.* Dr Deck is at present touring New Zealand, and will deliver a lantern lecture at St. Andrew's Hall, Market street, on Friday night next, Mareh 12, at 7.30 p.m. and a warm invitation is extended to" all.
