Wairoa Local Bodies. The monthly meetings of the Wairoa local bodies for March begiiTnext week, the iirst being the ' Power Board on Monday, March 8, at 10.30 a.m. The finance committee, the chairman and Messrs Glendining, Gillespie and Davey, meet at 9.30. The Harbonr Board is to meet at Waikokopu on Tuesday next, and the County Council on Wednesday at 10 a.m. The finance committee, Messrs G. E. Ormond and D. V. Thomas, meet at 9.30 that day. The Hoapital Board will not meet until March 16. Wairoa Eate Collection, The Wairoa borough rate eollectiou up to the penalty date has been very satisfactory. The amount struek was £10,483 and the amount collected to tho end of February was £8745, being a percentage of 83.42, a decided improvement on last year. With a month still to go to complete the year, tho percentage should be even better.
