Beautiful weather prevailed for the continuation of the Napier Park Racing Club's autumn meeting at Greenmeadows to-day. The course was again in excellent racing condition, the going "being very fast. The bright sunshine attracted a large attendance of the public who were treated to an enjoyabde afternoon's sport. Satisfaotory fields went to the post, providing some most interesting racing in which exciting finishes were again staged..

The handicapping was carried out by Mr H. Coyley and Mr W. P. Russell, the judge, gave every satisfaction with his decisions. Interest was again added to the racing .by a broadcast description of the running by Mr Graham McGormick, of Hastings. The single-pool machine was again in operation on the totalisator. Details of the running are as under: OMAHU HIGHWEIGHT HANDICAP. Of £100; H mile. 5 CURIE, Mr. W. M. MeKinnon's b.g., aged, by Arousio— Hymarty, 10.13 (P. Burgess) ..YTv... 1 3 Lord Hereford, Mr. H. S. Green's' ch.g., 9.5 (A. Lord) .. 2 2 Tareha, Mr. W. jHenderson's b.g., 9.10 (O. Garroll) 3 Also ran: 1 Eoyal Eoutine 10.5, 3 Lady Wessex 9.5. Lord Hereford started best from a prompt despatch, but Eoyal Eoutiue had cnarge passing the stand trom Lord Hereford, Tareha and Lady Wessex. At the end of two furlongs Lady Wessexx ran into second position, the order xemaining the same down tho back stretch. Passing the half-mile post Tareha got up into second place, just behind the tavourite with Lord Hereford well placed. Eounding the home bend Tareha headed off the.favourite from LOrd Hereford and Lady Wessex, Curie being last. After straightening up Lord Hereford came again to lead, but half way txp the straight Gurie, making a run, came through, overhauling the leader and going on to win easily by two lengths from Lord Hereford.
