Schoolboy Struck by Car RAN OUT FROM IANE Noel Lyons, a nine-year-old boy who lives at McGrath street, Napier, ia a patient at the Napier Public Hospital, suffering from two. broken legs pustained yesterday afternoon when he ran keadlong into a motor-car travelling up France road, Napier, driven by Mrs Mary Cecil Nalrn, of Havelock North. His condition was reported this morning as being satisfactory. Mrs Nairn was driving her car up France road in the 13ireetion of Light-, house road, at the top of the hill/at 3.50 o'clock yesterday afternoon. While she was passing the intersection of a byway known as Cobden Lane, a group of schoolboys came running out on to. France road. Apparently not eeeing the car as it came round the corner, Noel Lyons ran straight into it and struck one of the left-hand mudguards. He was thrown violenfly backwards, the force of the impact breaking both his legs. Medical attention was given him by Dr. A. G. Clark, after which he was taken home and then admitted to hospital. j -4/'
