High Civil Servant Suspended From Duty ' LATER APPEARS IN COURT SYDNEY, March 2. A sensation in Government official cireles occurred to-day when it was announced that the State Executive Council had suspended from duty the Goyernment Commissioner of Road Transport, Mr Sydney Aubrey Maddoeks, and in his stead had appointed Mr C. N. Neale to act as Comissioner until further notice. Mr Maddoeks entered the public serviee ^n 1901 and was formerly secretary of the Police Department. Later in the day at the Gentral Police Court, Sydney Aubrey Maddoeks, aged 56, public servant, was charged with indeeent assault on a male at North Sydney on March 1. Maddoeks was remanded on bail of £500 until Mareh 16. ,
