Quality Cattle Secures Good Values READY SALES The few lines of well-bred station lines of store cattle met with keen selling at Stortford Lodge yesterday. The values realised showed that all useful lines with quality will command strong selling in the near future. Nicely-grown young bullocks in very forward order made £10 2/6. Good quality lines of 30-month Aberdeen Angus Steers made to £9. Competition for all the. good- lines was well spread to sell readily. Eealisations were made as under: — Oh account of Mr. E. E. Dampney, Eland, Te Pohhe, 33 well-grown 30month Aberdefen Angus steers, well bred and in very good store condition, a useful prpspective chilling line, sold at £9. , In from Puketapu, 29 30-month, clean-bred, dehorned Hereford steers, medium grown, and in-good store# condition, useful young scavenging cattle, realised £8 £/-. On account of Big Hill Station, 43 30-month Abefdeen Angus steers, some showing a Hereford cross, good store condition, but slightly smaller grown than the Eland entry, hrought £8 9/-. An entry of 31 dehorned Hereford and Shorthoru steers, fairly grown and in very good store condition, being sotthd, good-doing young cattle, realised £8 12/-, On account of Mr. B. Williams, Waihou, 12 well-framed, clean-bred young forward Aberdepn Angus bullocks, met the market at £9 5/-. A further entry on account of Mr. Dampney of nicely-grown ^Aberdeen Angus young bullocks, in good conditiom should dnish as chillers on„ good feed in three inonths, sold at £9 14/-. On account of Mr. Jaraes Collins, Otane, 19 well-grown Aberdeen AngusHerfeford cross bullopks, in vpry forward condition, a quite good fiaishing entry, wps readily sought after to sell at £10 2/6.
