Lion Mound, on the site of the Battle of Waterloo, mentioned in a Press cablegram from London recently. Special legislation was passed in Belgium in 1914 to protect the site of the historic battle, but provincial authorities now propose road works which would alter the appearance of the area, a matter which is causing concern in British and Belgian circles.
