Results of Wairarapa Meeting

MASTERTON, Last Night. W. H, West (Blenheim) with 198 won the championship grand aggregate at the Wairarapa Rifle Association 's meeting at Papawai to-day and with it the BidWill Memorial Challenge Belt and Challenge Shield. R. J. King, the 'veteran Masterton shot, was runner-up one point behind and H. Koppert ; (Oamaru) 196 third. The B grade aggregate and Walden Challenge Oup were secured hy fl. Lumsden (Levin) 198, J. A. Munro , (Mataura) and A. R. Tantrum (Levin) !195 heing second. West won the Bidwill mateh, 10 shot.> at 300yds., with a possible 50. H. Koppert (Oamaru) 49 was seeond and A. iWohlers (Yictoria) and P, Berry (Tararua) 49 wero third. P. P. Palmer (Marsden) 49 won the B grades, Lumsden (Levin) 49 being second and J. R. Keogham (Westport) iAQ
In the Buchanan match, seven shots, j500yds., flve competitors scored posisibles, T. Orr (Greytown), C. J. Nix j (Featherston), R. J. King (Opaki), C. |R. Catley (Levin), W. McChesney (Inivercargill) 35. Six were also equal for the B1 grade: W. J. Manser (Tararua), W. Perkins (Westport), Jim McKenzie (Opaki), J. A. Munro (Mataura), E. R. Whiteman
. (Kaiparoro) and J. Johnson (Featherston), all with possibles 35. The Wellington match, seven shots at ;600yds., was divided between S. ^Lumsden (Levin), J, Whiteman : (Opaki) and D. F. Donald (Opaki) who 'all scored possibles 35. A. R. Tantrum (Levin) won the B grade with 34, J. R. Keogham (Westport) heing second and S. O. Wells j (Alexandra), both 34, third. F. J. Soler (Wanganui) secured the Wairarapa match, ten shots at 800yc*s., with a possible 50, J. S. Munro (Mataura), R. Ingley (Greytown) and E. Hill (Auckland) heing equal third with 49. L. J. Segvertson (Tararua) won thc B grade with 48. Featherston and Auckland City were equal in the teams match with scores o . 262. The midfield aggregate went to 1 Orr (Greytown) 117. In the Dominion' match, seven shots, 900yds., W. H. Masefield (Blenheim and D. S. McKenzie (Opaki) securepossible 35, W. H. West (Blenheim heing third 34. J. Johnston (Featherston) 34 won tli> B grade. The conditions for tha meeting weri fairly good except for showers durhi;. the firing of* the 800yds. match.
