Two Years of Good Work Completed

WAIPUKURAU, March. 2. J That the Central Hawke's Bay Aero! Club has made good progre^s since its1' formation, nearly two years ago, was shown by the reports submitted to a meeting of the club last night by the president, the secretary and the elub' captain. With the exception of about seven acres of land at the eastern ,end and one-eighth of an acre at the northem end, the preparation of practically the whole of Pedle's block had been completed, said the president, Mr. B. W. Boys. Cox's block and Kyle's block, iWhich had recently been surveyed, were iiea'dy to start work on. ' However, it was anticipated that there were yet ■some months' work to be done. Mr. Boys said that there was a great deal of work being done at the moment, which was more or less under. the supervision of the secretary, Mr. C.' B. Watson. He suggested that & works' committee be set up, and this wa3: agreed to. Messrs. E. B. Perkins andi i J. Paton, with Mr. E. McLean in an ad-i .visory capacity, were . appointed aj j works committee. Under the rules of the club two comjmittee members had to retire so a balilot was drawn. This resplted in the re[tirement of Messrs. B. W. Carpenter jand C. M. Williamson, who both offor ithemselves for re-election. The followjing new members were elected: H. G. iBennett, T. J. Dallas, N. Hobson, B. Inglis, S. Inglis, W. Matthews, N. MacDonald, J. Piki, J. E. Sherston, C. [Schroder, B. Stratford, V. Stratford, J. H. Walker, J. Wharmby and W. H. L. Williams.
