All-Weather Road New Under Construction

OLD L®BC WITH HAWKE'S BAY 1 Improvement# that have been recently made to the N«pier-T aihape roed have made this ancient highway an aH-weather road, and this road, which is closely linked with the early days of Hawke's Bay and Taihape, thus enters upon a new era, The Minister of Public Works, the Hon. R. Semple, is shortiy to pay a visit of inspection to this route, and hope* are held that he will put in hand some scheme whereby the road can be still further improved. and thus enable the undoubted tourist attractions of the trip to he developed. At present the Rangitikei County Council has a road improvement scheme under way, but the amount to be expended on this work is limited, and further assistance will be needed if a firstclass road is to be made.
