Two Sets of Flats to Cost £5440 FIGURES FOR FEBRUARY The erection of two sets of flats, estimated to coist £5440, is the chief item in the list of building projects authorised by the Borough Building Department of the Hastings Borough Council during the past month. Altogether 19 .building permits were issued by the Xnspector, Mr C. Carrell, the value of the buildings aggregating £7079 compared with £9191 in February of last year when 17 permits were issued. The details of last month 's permits are as follow: — £ One Dwelling 695 Two flats 5440 Six alterations to dwellings 264 Two motor sheds 48 One addition to motor shed 24 Two sheds 63 Two additions to sheds .... 68 One addition to business premises 992 . One glass house 45 One renovation of horse boxes 40 ' £7679 To date 2.'19 permits liave been issued during the 31 nionths, the total value being £115,624, as against 201 permits for £128,107 for the corresponding period last year.
