WELLINGTON, This Day. Arrivals by the Awatea from Sydney this morning include the following: Professor J. A, Gordon and Mrs Gordon, Professor Gordon ig a graduate of Edinburgh University and eomes to Wellington as Professor Mackenzie's suecefcsor in the chair of English Languag© and Literature at Victoria College. Dr. Dickie, of Knox College, Dunedin, who has returned from a tour of the* United States, Great Britain, Germany and Italy. Canon Pearson, formerly Chief Commissioner of Toc H in India, who is en route to England to take charge of the oversea branches of Toc H. Lord Nxxffield. Sir Harry Lauder, who was received by members of the Scottish Society and pipers on the wharf.
