Maintenance Work The monthly meeting of the Hawke 'a Bay Rivers Board was lield yesterday. Present: Messra. Lassen (chairman), R, E. Talbot, W. H. Camphell, L. E. Harris, J. Macdonald, J. H. Sheath, W. ti. J arvis, G. Paixey and H. H. Burns The general maintenance work carried out during the past month wa? reported upon by the engineer, Mr. G Rochfort, as under: — Tukituki River, — General repairs and maintenance on north levee, £12 14/0. Ngaruroro. — Cleaning irongate creeK. £29 10/10; cleaning Waima creek, £B 9/4; cleaning lower Roys HUI, levee and repairs to fascines, £1 14/8. Total, £34 14/10. ' Tataekuri. — Raising small levee Waitangi, £19 8/-; clearing screens at pump station, 17/6; clearing weeds and feneLng south levee Waiohiki, £19 8/-. Total, £39 13/6. WORK PROPOSED AND IN HAND. Tukituki. — Continuation of repairs. Ngaruroro. — Clearing and repairing upper Roys Hill levee. Clearing blackberries on Wellwood's, Tutaekuri. — Clearing weeds and gensral maintenance from Redcliffe to Brookfields. Repairs to Moteo levee and fences.
