Goods Not Kept a Month With the object of bringing to the notice of dealers the regulation that made it necessary to xetaia in their posse&sion for one month certain articles they bonght, Jhmes McCallum, of Napier dealer, was charged before Mr. J. Miller, S.M., in.the Napier Magistrate's Court yesterday morning. He was charged with selling a musical instrument within oue month. Detective-Sergeant H. Nuttall said that the defendant had been quite a satisfactory dealer and had often been of assistance to the poiiee. The banjo became the subject of a police inquiry, and the offence was discovered. "The object of this prosecution ie not to obtain a penalty, but To bring the matter before the notice of all seeond-hand dealers in the district. ' 3 Defendant was ordered l« 10/costs.
