HOSPITAL DISPUTE
Medical Association^ Representations TO PRESS FOR INQUIRY At a meeting of the executive committee of the Public Works Employees' Medical Association held in Wairoa, . consideration was given to the dissension among members ot the Hawke's Bay Hospital Board. The association reports that it doea not desiro to take sides for either party without further information, but in view of the fact that the membership of the association amounts to over 1770, with close on 2500 dependantn, which dependants the association eoverg it must be realised that any question which might have any effect upon any treatment which may be rendered to such members or their dependants iu any hospital is a very vital ono i'or the association. It appeared to the committee of tne association that a fair hearing had noc been accorded Dr. Allan Berry and nertain other members of the Hospital Board, and the secretary, Mr W. G. Park, states that his committee adds its protest to the many other protestn being made for a fuller investigation of the matters under dispute so thai fche general public might have the fuil est information on a matter which concerns every individual who may direcfcly or indirectly have any dealings with the hospital. Mr Park says that he has been instructed to press for an open inquiry by the Minister of Health and representations to the Minister in that direction are being made.
