PALMERSTON N. This Day. The Hawke Cup match was continued t.ln'R mornjng in dull weather. Hawke's Bay, resuming their second innifig* with one down for eight, leaving a deficit of 76, lost their wickets fairly rapidly, only Kauter and T. Reaney Teaching double figures. The latter hit briskly. At 11.30 Hawke's Bgy had lost four for 57 and were 27 runs behind Manawatu's first innings totai. T. Reaney did not survive much longer, while his brother also failed to stay. Lambert, however, carried on tho score with the help of McCarthy until the latter fell to a smart bit of stumping by Norris off Moloney when 15.
