Council beld on Thursday, 11th February, 1937, the following resolution was passed:— "THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers and anthorities conferred on it by Section 156 of "The Municipal Corporations Aet, 1933," the Hastings .Borough Council hereby resolves, by way of Special Order, as follows: — (a) THAT the Council sell to the Hawke 's Bay Electric Power Board at the price of Three Hundred and fifty po'unds (£350) that piece of land situate in. Eastbourne Street, Hastings, containing Twenty and eighty-nine one-hundredths (20 89-100) perches being part of Lots 158 and 159 on Deeds Plan 83 and all the land comprised in Certificate of Title H.B. Volume 95 folio 156 (Hawke 's Bay Begistry). (b) THAT the Councd surrender to the said Power Board a portion of the Bight-of-way at present used by the Borough Council and leading from Eastbourne Street to the rear of the Hastings Municipal Theatre, the portion to be surrendered being a strip Six (6) feet wide and adjoining' the land, described- in the above axentioned Certificate. of Title. (c) THAT the Council grant to the saxd Power Board a permanent Bight-of-way over a strip of land twelve (12) feet wide situated at the rear of the Hastings Municipal Theatre and being part of Lot 152 on Deeds Plan 83.
