EXCURSIONS TO NAPIER
1000 Visitors Yesterday ' .Cameras were well to the fore in Napier yesterday when over 1000 visitors came to town in three excursion trains from New Plymouth, Hawera and Palmerston North. They day being fine, the town and "Westshore beaches were extremely well patronised, and a cairn sea made bathing safe and pleasant. Many of the non-Kwimniers spent their day in the (shopping area and visiting tho construction Work in progress at the Braakwater. From New Plymouth and Hawera eame 660 excursionists in trains wMeh reached Napier at 7.34 a.m. and 7.49. Bhortly after 11.30 o'clock the Palmerston North train pulled in, carrying 455 holiday-makers from the Palmerston North — Feilding districts. These excuivsionists, lo£t for home at. 5 o'clock in the afternoon, wiije the Hawera and New Plymouth contingent left at 7 and T. Io o'eloelc.
