Batting against Williams and Kettle, Technical B gained a first-innings win. In their first innings of 165, Teriiperton made 68, Hickey and Des Landes 26 and Venables 11. Tait took five for 37 and Wilson two for 37. Williams and Kettle replied with 248 at a cost^ of only three wickets. Dinnie compiled an unbeaten 106 and Wilson 96 not out, Hickey. took two for 54. An unusual feature in the Scindo v. United B match waS that time ' did not permit Scinde to score two runs to enable the team to gain a first-innings win, the match resulting in a draw. United compiled 158, of which Hunter contributed 49, Armitage 23, Oliver 22 and Tait 20. Greaney took two for 29 ririd Campbell three for 28. At stumps, Scinde had lost two wickets for 357j Moss 48 not out, Gfeaney 43 and Grahffm 51 batting well. The Technical A — Ahuriri match also resulted in a draw* the latter team failing to overtake • Technical 's first-in-nings total of :226 for 7 (declared). Hanlon made 103 not out, Marcroft 41 and Ir eland 40. Krogh took three for 80 and Bainbridge two for 18. At stumps, Ahuriri were three down for 179, Krogh seoring 103 and Bradbury 36. Vercoe took two for 84.
