Incessanc rain during the past two days has resnlted in heavy flooding of rivers in the Golden Bay district. .Takaka township became isolated yesterday afternoon when flood waters made road traffic impossible^ Similar, conditions continued this morning and! there were no.bread or meat deliveries! outside the township to-day. In a dip in the Toad at Waitapu,, be- . tween the Globe Hotel and the Takaka v Tiver bridge, .there was about 12 f eet oft '■ water this morning, while five feet ofj" water flowed across the main streetp near ' the private hospital.
