MAGNOLIA SATIN FOR BRIDE'S WEDDING GOWN
Rosenburg — Greville Ast6rs, cosmos, rosea and greenery wero effectively massed^ at the choir rails of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Hastings, for the wedding of Beatrice Alice, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Greville, Tollemache road, Hastings, and Alexander, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Rosenburg, Hastings street, Hastings, . The Rev. D. J. A. Shaw officiated at the marriage service, and Miss A. Lock presided at the organ, playing the wedding marches ancl the musio for the hymn, "O Father All Creating, ' ' -which was sung by the congregation. A lovely wedding gown of mangolia satin fashioned on classical lines with a long train was worn by the bride, who was given away by her father. The bodioe was softly ruched in front with bolero effect, and the neckline was trimmed with faggoting matching the pointed cuff which finished. the long tailored sleeves. A row of crystal buttons was arranged from the neck- ; line to the waist, and she wore a crystal necklace. A. veil of mangolia tulle was arranged with a halo of magnolia satin edged with orange biossom, and was worn qver her face. on entering the church. She wore magnolia tinted satin shoes, and carried a bouquet of red roses with cascades of fern and tiny rosebuds, Two maids attended the bride, and these were Miss Olive Johnston (Mas- 1 terton), chief, and Miss Rita Greville, sister of the bride. Their gowns were of organdie worn over satin slips, the chief brideamaid wearing "sea-green and the second maid rose pink. The skirts were flared to the ground, and at the waist was a sash of chiffon velvet the same shade as the gown with a sof t bow at the back. Eaeh maid wore a halo of velvet flowers to match her gown, and from this fell a tulle veil in the same shade to the. waist-line. Silver sandals were worn, and bouquets of pink roses and fern were carried by each bridesmaid. Mr. Maurice Greville, the bride 's brother, carried out .the duties of best man, After leaving the church the bridal party were photographed, and during this they were serenaded by the Highlanders' Band. A reception, at which about 50 guests were entertained, was held" at the home of the bride 's parentsj where Mr. and Mrs. H. Greville received their guests. Mrs. Greville wore a gown of black flowered marocain with a black silk coat and black hat. She carried a bouquet of apricot-shaded roses and fern. o Mrs. Rosenburg wore a navy and white figured ensemble and navy hat. Cream roses and pom pom dahlias were arranged in her bouquet. The tables set for the wedding breakfast were decorated with crystal vases of sweet peas and fern, and the beautiful two-tiered wedding cake, a gift from Mrs. W, E. Bate, was much admired. Following the wedding breakfast dancing was enjoyed to music played by Mr. Phil Walden. W^n the bride and bridegroom left for their honeymoon the bride travelled in a smart grey tailored costume with navy and white figured blouse, navy hat and accessories. Many beautiful presents and several cheques were received by Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Rosenburg, who will mal$e their future home in Hastings. Among those present were: — Mr. A. Winks, grandfather of the bride; Messrs. E. F., F. B. D. and J. Greville; Mrs. McKenrie, of Taihape, aunt of the bride, who wore a navy blue and white figured ensemble and" white hat; Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Thompson, of Bay View, the latter a sister of the bride, wearing a brown mode satin gown and brown shoes, with a girdle of gold and brown, and a brown straw hat; Miss J. Greville, sister of the bride, in black taffetasj Mr. and Mrs. J. Hellyer, Clive, the latter, who is the b^degroom 's sister, wearing brown figured silk, and a brown hat; Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Lean, Mrs. Lean wearing a smart gown. of black georgette, a small, stylish black hat and fur coat; Mrs. Nelson, Kenya, aunt of the bridegroom, frock of black figured crepe de chine worn with a black velvet fur-trimmed coatee and black hat.
