The Minister for Co-ordination of Defence, Sir Thomas Inskip, Teplying in the House of Commons to a question as to whether any action would be taken to ensure that the three defence de-; partments had necessary supplies , of fluch metals as lead and Spelter and whether it was proposed to take any Jaction to prevent speculators from holdjing up supplies, said the defence deipartments had had no difficulty in 'ob-. [taining such supplies of these metals as they required. ' The second part of' ;the question, therefore, did not arise.
