BOWLERS' ACTIVITIES
Party Leaves For Gisborne A party of bowlers from the Hawke's Bay centre set out by cars for Gisborne to-day to take part in fnendly matches with the Poverty Bay centre. They will play on the Gisborne greens to-morrow morning and afternoon, and on the return home onSunday will stop at Wairoa and have a game there. The play-off for secona place in the champion fours of the H.B. Centre, between Napier and Wairere, will take place on the' Port green toAnorrow afternoon. Rain and wind marred the third day's play of the Rotorua toumey, and there were many upsets. Flanders and Cummins (Havelock North) did not irt so well, and now have only three wins. They will not qualify. To-morrow three teams from the Havelock North Club will pav a friendly visit to Wairere. The following Saturday Waipawa will visit the Havelock North Club, and besides playing inter-club games, will play a challenge match for the Smith Cup, Havelock being the holders.
